Ellie and Ben had beautiful Wedding in the garden of her parents in mid July.  To embrace the summer weather Ellie and Ben chose to have a completely outdoor wedding with only a canopy to cover the guests while they enjoyed their meal.  The garden looked stunning and Ellie’s parents had poured months of love and care into the garden in order for it to come alive in July.  Sadly to weather in true English style was not as kind as it could have been to us.  During the morning poor Ellie and her Dad ummed and Ahhed about whether to put up another canopy for the ceremony.  Weather apps were closely watched and discussed during the morning and I was so so pleased to hear when they decide they were going to go for it and face a few drops.  An outdoor ceremony is always slightly risky, but when the rain stays away it really is the most lovely way to get married.  There is no bad backdrop, no green fire escape sighs to dodge, no frustrating beam, painting, or pillar getting in the way.  From every angel it looks amazing through the view finder.  The light was stunning and despite a few drops of rain later on the day went to plan.

Ben and Ellie had designed the day so that the garden was part of the venue and each area transitioned smoothly into the next.  Straw bales, rugs and a fire pit created a snug and warm area and a walk way through the garden was created by a path of giant glowing coloured balls.  The garden came alive with colourful light and music as the sun went down, and guests enjoyed a long summers evening dancing, all finished off with a spectacular display of fireworks.
