Katie arrived at the Church in a vintage Rolls Royce after a flurry of beautiful guests and babies had gone and in found their places. Hamish and Katie came out of the church through a tunnel with a shower of confetti. Even Granny got involved and did not let Hamish get off lightly. They climbed aboard a pony and traps and made their way through the village to the marquee for the reception. The guests waved the happy couple goodbye and were entertained by Hamish’s novice driving skills – a few narrow escapes for a few wing mirrors!
The reception was held in a stunning marquee in the garden. The atmosphere was super relaxed and laid back. Hamish and Katie’s golden retrievor puppy was making his way round the guests receiving lots of cuddles and collecting any dropped canapés. The guests were kept entertained while they sipped their champagne by a comical brass trio, during which we went off for those much loved family group photos. Despite the frustration of gathering all those involved up, we got through them wonderfully efficiently and had great laughs as little ushers insisted on photo bombing the family shots!
An incredible roast beef meal was served but the amazing Banbury Caterers. I have photographed a number of weddings they have catered for, and they never cease to amaze me and impress me with their creativity. The guests enjoyed an amazing 3 course meal and it was topped off with table service expresso martinis while they listened to the most hilarious speeches i had heard in 2018. Poor Hamish! but he carried it off well.
So much laughter and fun was had while they danced the night away. I finally left feeling happy and contented i had captured the most wonderful and happy occasion. Enjoy the small selection on images that will represent the beautiful couple Hamish and Katie are.
