So often my couples live in London but choose to get married outside either where they were family is or in a venue they fall in love with.  So to make life easier for them I offer to come to London for their engagement shoots.  I have photographed in most of the great parks, commons and in some hidden gems around the city.  Patrick and Georgie live round the corner to Fulham Gardens, so they suggested Fulham Palace Gardens for their shoot.

I left London 10 years ago and when I left Fulham Palace was just undergoing a refurbishment and restoration.  Well they have restored it beautifully and it now hosts an array of events for the public, and provides 13 acres of stunning gardens.  My favourite is the walled garden which they have cultivated and nurtured over the centuries to become the beautiful urban oasis it is today.

As we entered the gardens they were filled with late summer flowers and trees that were just on the turn.  Apples just turing red and pumpkins just being harvests.  We spent time walking and enjoying the array of stunning colours presenting so many options for photos.  Having spent so much time enjoying the gardens we were ushered out as they looked the garden gates.  We then took a walk down the side of the Thames and made the most of the views down the river encompassing the traditional and beautiful Victorian railings as the sun began to go down.
