Frequently asked questions

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I have been photographing weddings for the past 6 years, and my passion and enjoyment for shooting weddings has grown and grown the more I do.

How far do you travel for weddings?

There is no limit to how far I will travel. I am happy to travel anywhere with in the UK and abroad. I have friends all over the UK and will always aim to stay with someone I know to avoid any additional accommodation costs.

How long will it take before I will be able to see my images and how many images do I get on the USB?

My aim it to get your online gallery of images up with in 2 weeks of your wedding. This gallery contains between 250-300 images and you will receive your full amount of images which can be anything between 350 – 700 depending on your length of day. They all come on a USB in a beautiful personalised USB case within 4 weeks of your wedding.

Are all the images edited and retouched, and are there limits on how I can use them?

I personally go through every image I take making sure they are all worked on individually and given the attention and work they need. I use my artistic judgement as to which should be in black and white how much retouching is needed.  Once you receive your images you are free to share and print them as much as you like. They only thing you can not do is make financially gain from them – soz!

Are you insured?

Yes absolutely.  I have full public Liability and professional indemnity insurance.  Many venues ask for a copy of my insurance documents which I am very happy to email across to them as and when required.

What camera do you use?

I use 2 cameras with a variety of lenses.  They are the trusty and amazing canon 5D’s Mark iv and a mirrorless R6

How do we book you?

I always love to pick up the phone and have a chat to you, so send me an email with your wedding details and I will give you a call. If you are local to me I am also very happy to meet you one evening and you can have a look at some of the albums I produce, see some more work, ask any questions you may have and  have a chance to get to know me bit. To secure the date I need a signed booking form and a £400 deposit.

What are the advantages of having an engagement / pre wedding shoot?

Pre wedding shoots are really popular at the moment, and I find them a wonderful way for us to get to know each other as well as giving you a chance to get used to being photographed…..it is not a regular thing to have a camera pointed at one.  We will spend around 2 hours walking and talking as we walk through a wood, park, streets of a city etc…. the options are endless and totally up to you as a couple as to what sort of location you would like. I always make sure our time is relaxed and enjoyable so taking time is really important for me, and gives you as a couple a chance to just be with each other, as well as giving you confidence in how you look on camera. Time after time couples look at the images and smiles appear on their faces as they realise how great they look, and this results in trust in me as their photographer on the day.
