Ed & Rosanna Marquee wedding in Scotland
Ed and Rosanna had the most beautiful Scottish wedding in the heart of East Lothian. As the tulips started to bloom in mid April Rosanna’s Mum was desperately hoping they would still be out for the wedding May. Fortunately no strong winds or lashing rain came which meant that the garden was still alive with tulips and spring blossom. After the ceremony I made sure we made the best use we could of capturing the stunning garden that had been so tenderly kept and manicured over the months. Rosanna and Ed walked and chatted freely throughout the garden while the guest were welcomed into the rose garden by a piper and a glass of cold champagne.
East Lothian gave us a beautiful day and gave Rosanna and Ed a fabulous warm late Spring wedding May. Rosanna and Ed arrived in an open top red MG and to a celebratory cheer by all their guests. The Champagne flowed and laughter filled the air of the reception. The joy of the day was so evident as I wondered around snappy happy faces and hearing laughter erupting as old school friends were reunited and memories remembered and retold. From laughter to more laughter as Ed gave a speech that had all the guests in stitches with anecdotes and heart warming reflections on joining Rosanna’s family.
From speeches the guests were ushered into dinner. The tables were adorned with flowers and dripping in candles all created by The Paper white Flower company. The soft candle light with the late Spring evening light created a beautiful and cosy atmosphere to dinner. The piper warmed up his bagpipes one last time and piped Rosanna and Ed in while all the guests took to their feet and waves their napkins. More drinks were served while a beautiful and delicious meal was served during which I headed in side for a cup of tea and 5mins rest. By the end of of meal the Espresso Martinis were being poured and guests mingled until the band took the stage.
The evening kicked off with the ever entertaining 29Fingers who kept the dance floor completely packed and buzzing well into the wee hours. I stayed well into the night making sure I caught all the moves on the dance floor and the endless entertainment supplied by 29Fingers. Once the bride and groom had been ushered onto the stage to dance, lifted onto shoulders and the Elvis masks had come out I headed off to leave them all to dance the night away.
