At Home in the Garden
10th August 2019
10th August has to have been the windiest day of the Summer! so much so that the father of the groom was up at the crack of dawn trying to avoid the marquee from taking to the sky! Despite the strong winds Hannah and Charlie were by far the happiest and most excited couple this year to get married. They emulated the happiness, joy, freedom and excitement that getting married produces, and their love and enthusiasm was infectious through out the day. Hannah beamed happiness throughout the whole day and entertained the guests with an inspired poem she wrote about her new husband.
Being keen hockey players Hannah and Charlie left the church under an archway of hockey sticks and showers of confetti. The wind blew and blew but the rain only showed for all of 2 minutes before the sun (and wind) beat it away. The guests sipped their champagne while we battled with the wind and made our way through the family shots. Dresses, hair and hats were uncontrollable, but the smiles never stopped and we got some wonderful photos full of life and emotion.
The guests were given an amazing meal as they laughed and cried while listening to the speeches. As the tables were cleared I stole Hannah and Charlie away for 10 minutes to be able to make the most of the beautiful golden hour. We boldly made out way through nettles and brambles into an open field where the sun stayed just long enough for us to capture some beautiful images.
